Is it really private?
Yes. The AI models run entirely on your computer. Your notes, recordings, and secrets never leave your device — there's no cloud to opt out of.
What does it cost?
The notebook, dictation, and keyword search are free forever. The AI (chat, summaries, semantic search), meeting recording, and adding new secrets are free for a 14-day trial, then a one-time $9.99 (on sale from $25) product key — no subscription, no monthly fees.
What if I'm not happy with it?
We offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If SemantiNote isn't for you, contact us for a full refund — no hassle, no fine print.
Do I need internet?
Only once, to download your AI model on first run. After that everything works offline.
macOS says the app is from an "unidentified developer" or "can't be opened."
This is normal for a brand-new app that isn't code-signed yet — it's not a virus, just an unrecognized publisher. To open it: right-click (or Control-click) SemantiNote → Open → click Open again. Still stuck? Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll to the bottom, and click “Open Anyway” next to SemantiNote. You only do this once — after that it opens normally.
Windows shows a "Windows protected your PC" / SmartScreen warning.
Same reason — a new app that isn't signed yet (not a virus). Click More info, then Run anyway. You only do this once.
How do I enter my product key?
Open SemantiNote, click Enter product key (or the trial badge in the status bar), paste your key, and Activate. You won't be asked again.
What are the system requirements?
macOS 12+ or Windows 10/11 (64-bit), ~8 GB RAM recommended for the AI, and a few GB of disk for the model you choose.
Where are my notes stored, and how do I uninstall?
Your notes, recordings, and secrets live in a normal folder on your computer that you can back up or move anytime — nothing is in the cloud. To uninstall on macOS, drag SemantiNote from Applications to the Trash; on Windows, use Add or remove programs. Your notes folder stays on your device unless you delete it yourself, so you never lose your work by removing the app.
